Reaching for the Stars

The Owner Trained, Trainer Assisted Service Dog Program, empowers owners to work with and train their own Service Dogs or Service Miniature Horses.

Most teams (human & dog) participate in our Level I, Level II, and CGC Classes. Once they have completed our “Core Courses,” we begin working one-on-one with each team to train the tasks they need.

While the ADA does not require a CGC, we feel that it builds confidence and prepares the teams for going into non-pet friendly establishments.

While the ADA only requires 1 trained task for a documented disability, we train a minimum of 3 to complete our program.

There is no formal certification for Service Dogs, but at the end of the program, the team receives a certificate stating that they have completed our Owner Trained, Trainer Assisted, Service Dog Program.
